This European designer was trained to be a ballet dancer but studied fashion as well and began his career as a ‘window dresser’ in Paris. He launched his first fragrance, Angel Perfume, in 1992. This perfume, sometimes described as ‘oriental gourmand’, has strong notes of chocolate and vanilla and became a big hit –sometimes even outselling Chanel No. 5 in France. Next, came A*Men in 1996; also known as Angel Men, it was intended as a follow-up to Angel but it received mixed reviews. Innocent Perfume debuted in 2004, B*Men, Angel Garden of Stars Perfume and Alien followed. Thierry’s line of fragrances has been very successful, turning out Mugler Cologne Summer Flash, Innocent Summer Flash Perfume, Innocent Secret for Victoria’s Secret, ICE Cologne for Men, Eau de Star Perfume, Miror, Miror! Perfume, and Innocent Illusion. The latest in 2008, is A*Men Pure Coffee Cologne, which blends other scents with that of pure Arabica coffee.
