Easily one of the best summertime tropical fragrances out there. It's lime, coconut, rum, tropical florals and sugar cane. It's citrusy and zesty, slightly sweet and overall well blended. There isn't too much lime, too much coconut, too sweet or too boost. It maintains a great balance between them all.
It's not your typical fragrance which is a plus since it's unique. Although, there are a few similar ones such as Set Sail st. Barts(no coconut or rum, all lime) and Coconut Lime Verbena (horrid lasting power and far less quality).
Lasting power is decent but, leaves something to be desired as well as projection but, good enough that it doesn't keep me from purchasing.

I have worn other Creed fragrances and they are all wonderful in their own right.

But for me, Virgin Island Water hits a Grand Slam. It makes me feel like I'm wearing something ultra fresh/clean, so high-end, that it's MY own signature fragrance.

Not overpowering, but when a woman smells me, I always draw compliments like, "You smell so good!" and "It matches your clothes!". And of course "mmmm".

This perfume smells very nice it has a very subtle coconut and lemon twist to it. It is very expensive, but it would be great for special occasion like anniversary or birthday when you can splurge a little bit. It dries down to a nice musk.

Very unique and satisfying. This fragrance can be used year around but keep in mind the cool/cold air in the fall and winter months tend to fade the smell quicker. Best used in the spring and summer if you are looking for longevity.

I use for work at times it seems the scent fades. But then at times I think the scent is not present you get that "what are you wearing" question. It's a good product by Creed I just wish it would hang in there a little longer.

I love this scent, however, it does not last more than an hour on my skin. I would have to think twice about paying this price for a fragrance that does not last. It is very well blended and sophisticated. Very wearable. The coconut is subtle and not cloying. Will most likely wear it several times a week during summer.

Great Scent, Coconut never smelled so good and I never liked coconut till now. The combination of the coconut and lime with a very cool "sea-breeze" like note makes it perfect for summertime. The best hands down!

This stuff is the best ever. I also own Green Irish Tweed and Silver Mountain which are good, but nothing like this. It definitley has a coconut and lime scent, but it's unbelievable. It is more of a summertime fragrance, but I like it so much I wear it in the winter too. No matter if I am in a bar, at work, or some store, I always hear girls saying wow he smells really good. Then they start talking to me, everywhere I go, its ridiculous how many girls I have met while wearing this stuff. This cologne is definitley expensive, but to me its worth every penny. Great product!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Creed's Virgin Island Water fragrance is a lot of white rum, a little bit of tart lime, and little bit of unobtrusive coconut - not beachy/suntan, or even milky coconut - but fresh cracked coconut meat.

Although a little manly at first, it has dried down beautifully, into a fresh, clean, summery tropic(though not humid) fragrance.
I love it.

Actual Notes are as follows:
• Top Notes: Essence of copra (the white inner portion of the coconut); coconut today (a liquid derived from the sweet sap of the palm tree); lime of the Antilles; white bergamot, and mandarin orange from Sicily.
• Middle Notes: Hibiscus, ginger, ylang-ylang, and Indian jasmine.
• Bottom Notes: Sugar cane and white rum of the Antilles, musk from Tonkin.

The lasting power is, surprisingly, very good. I've been wearing this for a few hours now(just 2 little dots on my wrist) - and not only is it still going strong, but it has fantastic sillage. I can still smell this wafting up with every move of my hands. Considering the fact that it's a citrusy scent, I'm extremely surprised about this.

This fragrance is wonderful on my wife. Not overpowering and very fresh. The coconut is not generic and the lime stands up very well. It lasts 10-12 hrs on her and still smells fantastic. If you are tired of all of your (or your wife's) perfumes having an underlying "old lady" scent then this is a must have!

This is a really very beautiful fragrance. It is marked as a shared, but I don't find it suitable for men. It imparts a tropical sun-kissed feeling without making you smell like a mixed drink or suntan oil. Typical creed, high quality, and good taste.

I think its primary scent seems to be cocunut but it's very pleasant. Not a "sexy" scent, but definitely pleasing. I bought it because it was the most expensive of all the Creeds sold here, and wanted to see why.
