I must say, i was not fond of this fragrance when I first purchased-(This is the second bottle I have purchased). At first i thought it smelled like some strange version of oriental baby powder and an old woman's over perfumed purse. I tried to give it away to my girlfriend, she said it was too manly-which left me scratching my head. My best friend refused it, saying it was too girly. Uh ok! Well, i decided to finally give this stuff a chance one day and just pour it on to see what would happen. I went to work and the women i work with flipped for it. They said it was some of the best stuff they had smelled in a while, and they loved how unique it was. i could not stop getting compliments. Hence, i am now a fan, and realize that sometimes you have to give things a chance to work. Mori is magic in a bottle. Trust me!

I'm very specific about what scents I'll wear. Jean Paul Gaultier is an absolute favorite of mine and in the last 10 years, I haven't really strayed too much from that. However, after wearing Hanae Mori for a day, I just had to have it, and it's amazing! I don't think it's a scent for everyone (if you like your cologne to smell like aftershave, this likely won't be for you), but if you are into sophisticated, unique colognes, Hanae Mori should do the trick (and let's face it, in a store, it will cost over [$] - so a great deal to be had here).

Opens with a blast of almost overbearing synthetic lemon/fruity top notes, that are a bit reminiscent of Froot Loops, in a bad way. That note quickly fades leaving a sweet citrus and floral blend over a vanilla/tonka base.

HM is very sweet, very edible, and very effeminate for a scent marketed towards men. A great summer scent for the right person, but definitely not for everyone. Try it quite a few times before you buy it to make sure it fits.

One of my best buys ever. I am an avid cologne user (with a collection of over 45 active colognes and another 30 that I have used in the past). I would have never found this one, except for the amazing reviews i read for this cologne on Scentiments. And now I have mine to add to the list.
The cologne is best worn on Skin and constantly changes notes over time. Yeah...i know what you are saying....Dumbo all colognes do that!! Yes they do but not as much as this one does. I was so disappointed when I first put it on, it smelled so strong and fruite but within 5 minutes it had changes to this classy, urban, upscale smelling note (so hard to describe). Sinc ethen my admiration for this cologne has gone p exponentially!!
The usual traits of a good cologne-people asking you what you are wearing, girls trying to smell you up in a club, folks at work commenting on how good you smell - are all applicble to it and more.

My husband just adored Hanae Mori for women when I first wore it. He would constantly ask me to wear it, especially on special occasions. He loves the chocolate in it, need I say more. Therefore I purchased for him, Hanae Mori for men and he can't get enough of wearing it. He has received so many compliments about this fragrance. This fragance can be worn anytime because it is long lasting. I love the scent on him. The smell of black currant, vanilla, lemon and amber says just so much. Now we both wear it on special occasions and everytime we wear it, we receive so many wonderful compliments, such as "that's a wonderful fragrance your are wearing" or " where did you get that fragrance, its breath taking". I highly recommend Hanae Mori Men & Women for anyone who loves to smell good without making statement. The scent speaks for itself.
