I have used John Varvatos fragrance for about 2 weeks now. My wife first and later my sister-in-law who loves certain fragrances, said it had a nice aroma. I would tend to agree but I do not smell it myself after just a few minutes. Others can and so, I have to avoid overpowering others by adding more fragrance as the day or evening progresses. All in all, I love it!

I find John Varvatos unique: it begins with deep and/or dark (and thus masculine) fruit, then as that relaxes subtle leather and perhaps tobacco enter.

This is a cheerful or fun aroma, without being feminine or too sweet. Most important, I like that it is unique, and thus it fits into my broader collection well.

My only concern is that one never knows if samplers use exactly the same juice as larger bottles. But if not, we can assume the larger purchase will deliver the better mix.

John Varvatos is an extremely unique fragrance that smells almost like a light vanilla with a hint of black leather at times. I've been using this stuff for a week and I must say it is one of the best in my collection. It is a great fragrance that will draw compliments.

Absolutely love this scent. Unique blend of exotic ingredients deliver an enchanting fragrance which change ever so subtly from when you first spray it on to the dry down.
Its not too overpowering and just lingers on your skin.

This surely is a very unique Scent. Hence it generally stands out, if one is able to sniff. The Sillage isnt very good though, which is good for a workplace.
I love the smell and will surely buy this again

I actually smelled this fragrance in a magazine a few years back. It was good enough for me to remember it a few years later. I purchased it and everyone loves the smell. I would always buy this one!

If your buying for yourself then this is a great value as it only comes in a plain brown cardboard box and no cap. But it is the same bottle as the retail packing!!! What a deal!!!

I purchased this blind because of all the good reviews. It is a very unique and wonderful fragrance. It does not jump off and beg for attention from anyone passing by. It is a great everyday fragrance for work or just for smelling good. I am wearing it right now as I write this. Just a good clean smell. Nothing offensive or overpowering. I think this one could be used in any situation quite nicely.

John Varvatos is a spicy and wonderful smelling change for the cold winter months. It has a very warming affect on me when I wear it. I also love how the scent lasts through my entire day of work. After 12 hrs. I can still smell the fragrance lightly on my skin.

This scent is soft, woody & delightful. If it was a little stronger and lasted longer, it would be an amazing cologne - since it doesn't, it's only an ok cologne. Good for guys that don't want an overwhelming smell.

This is a great cologne that is good for any occasion. It has sort of an "outdoorsy" feel to it. My only complaint is that it seems to wear off fairly quickly.

This scent has a warm masculine theme. Great endurance and a dead on bottle. I have a lot of fragrances from Old Spice to Green Irish Tweed but this is my new favorite. I hope there is an aftershave in the works.

Unusual but interesting and sophisticated leathery fragrance smells different in a positive manner than anything out there I've ever sampled.

A great masculine scent that always gets me compliments from the ladies. Doesn't smell like every other product out there; very unique.

This is a classic masculine scent with some sweetness that women like. The only problem is its weak and close to the skin. It doesnt last long no matter how much you put on. It smells of sandalwood and leather and fruit. My wife loves it but it is useful for an hour at most. Then its gone.
