Fresh, clean and one of the most well-balanced fragrances on the market. The initial impression of the top notes reminded me of fresh-cut grass, but dried down to a nice smooth, balanced floral that is amazingly fresh yet unmistakably masculine.
A cool, friendly, appealing fragrance that's perfect for hanging out with friends, date night, afternoons at the gallery, or whatever. A good match to wear with soft colors, trendy styles, and hip fashions, particularly a summer wardrobe. So refreshing it defies description and it's not like any other fragrance on the market. My son loves this cologne and asked for it as a gift. He has a tall and quiet (the prototypical still waters that run deep. He has a cool, preppy / athletic style. Since I had bought him this cologne, I tried it. It is great - fresh and clean. My style is different from his - more corporate and urban and unique. I use it primarily as a daytime scent. Good for work and for weekends.

This fragrance is great for daily use. My wife loves it, and I've gotten many compliments. The only downfall with getting the tester is that it doesn't have a top....not a huge deal but may be a problem for travel.

Lacoste Essentials hit the market a few years ago and I purchase it every spring. Manly, with a hint of being effeminate (a distinction few colognes can make). Women love this cologne because of the light and fresh scent. Nice for wearing to the bar or work. I recommend wearing this during Spring/Summer .

i bought this scent for my father. he liked it at the store and so i bought it here..cheaper! so yay for me! its the the greatest scent, but its one of the first that allows you to gain the scent back once you think it faded... just rub the part of your body that you sprayed and BAM.. it smells like you just sprayed it again

I was given a sample of Lacoste Essential as part of a gift set. There were other fragrances in the gift package, but Essential stood out to me as the kind of scent I wanted. It is not so strong that people will start coughing or sneezing around you. A few sprays before going to classes, church, or formal gatherings, and you'll smell nice for hours. I bought the tester product because of the price, and I could not tell a difference in volume from an unopened spray bottle.
