Very special smell. Rich, subtle at the same time it is not too subtle..SHame it does not last long enought for me, but use it often if thats your skin.
This one is bound to get positive reaction but not overcome someone.

I love Royall Lyme and Roger & Gallet Vetyver and was eager to try the Royall Vetiver figuring it would be the best of both worlds. This is beyond my expectations. The scent is as classic, but more complex than straight Vetiver, adding East Indian spices and light citrus. To say this is a "unique" fragrance would be an understatement. It is a strong aftershave, but the scent is completely natural and sophisticated. If you don't already love Vetiver (and why wouldn't you?) you may want to try a sample first. Great for a night on the town or around the country club or just to stir the senses.

Scent stays with you all day. Not necessary to reapply in evening. All Royall products are great. This is the newest, I tried it and liked it.

Scentiments offers Royall Vetiver 8 oz All Purpose Lotion by Royall at the LOWEST PRICE! I have used all of Royall's Fragrances (Mandarin, Bay Rhum, Lyme, Spyce, and Muske) and Vetiver is one of my favorites. It has a nice combination of citrus and East Indian spices and can be used for any occasion.

When you first put it on, it smells terrible... I feel like I should slap it on and then loiter for about five minutes before going out. Then it really comes into its own for an hour or so, with fairly refreshing - if generic - notes. There's vetiver as the base note, of course, and a few spicy scents above that as well. Unfortunately, after an hour (unless you REALLY pour it on thick) it's gone completely.
The bottle makes quite a few claims about its ability to refresh and cool you off in your tropical villa. Maybe that's the draw - in New England, this cologne is just a bust.
