I have used this fragrance for many years. At times it was hard to find. It's not over powering , yet it last all day. I have always had compliments on it. More people would wear it if they had tried it.

I use to wear this in the 90's, when I was still working and making the bucks. Found it here on Sentiments and thought I would give it a shot again. Bought the 1.7oz. size to see if it was indeed the same. It is, and because Sentiments has the best prices, I don't think I would buy it at it's regular price. I enjoy too many other scents more! TRy this and decide for yourselves.

Van clef and Arpels is a romantic clean cologne. It is not always avaiable in the stores. Yhis is the only cologne I have worn for years. Not over powering, but always there. Jeff

hope they don't stop making this scent. Van Cleef Black has been around since the 70's and is very unique. I have gotten hundreds of compliments and they say "wow, what is that scent?". Nothing like it.

My wife gave me a gift of Van Cleef 28 years ago and I have not stopped wearing it. I wear other colognes but Van Cleef, by far, is my favorite. I cannot find this original Van Cleef (Black Box) in any retail store but Scentiments.com always has it available at a good price. Thank you Scentiments.com

Van Cleef & Arpels has been one of my favoite fragrances for a long time.I like to wear it in the fall and evening.When wearing it in the day a little goes a long way, so apply it with a light hand, too much can be over powering.It's sophisticated and unique and there is nothing else like it.

It's very hard to find now, except on line. Very often strangers remark how great it smells when I come into a room. I use it ever day so often that I am so used to it I hardly notice I have it on....I hope I don't use too much.

This fragrance is ultra exotic! I think of traveling to Africa when I wear it. It is powerful, masculine and the best smell I could ever imagine. It takes a real man to wear this. It smells of sex.

This product is a great evening fragrance, mostly for the cooler times of the year. It is not to be used freely since it is kind of strong, however this is a fragrance that once you have it on, everyone will notice.

I purchased this cologne when it was first launched. It remains today as my all time favorite. Everything else comes in a far second or third. Not for the timid. This is a refined opulent masculine scent that will make you remembered. I wear it to work sometimes to lift my mood. It is a perfect scent for special occasions and my wifes favorite as well. I have often had women in my office ask what cologne I was wearing. And, more than once, I have had women in department stores follow me off the elevator to ask, what cologne I was wearing.
Try it. You will be glad you did.

I bought this for my best friend.... after many people requesting the name of the cologne I purchased more as gifts for others... No one has yet to give a negative comment. This is for the male who is proud to be such. It is very pleasant to smell and not over bearing. I am very sensitive to different scents.
