This is a review of Petite Cherie Au de parfum. I purchased a 3.2 oz bottle based on one sniff in a Perfumania and after reading extensive reviews that shouted "instant youth in a bottle". I was helpless to refuse a product promised to evoke a child segueing through adolescence and then young womanhood on the aria orchestrated by Petite Cherie. Several days passed and finally PC arrived in a typical Annick Goutal bottle of clear ribbed glass with a gold top and a small gold ribbon. I took a long hot shower and with my skin still moist I applied some unscented body lotion to my feet,ankles, legs, thighs, chest, arms,inside elbows throat, sides of neck and behind ears and nape of neck. I spritzed ankles first, behind knees, groin area, declotagge,(wrists: I do Not rub writs together so as not to break perfume),inside elbows, both sides of neck, behind ears and nape of neck. Thus I provided Petite Cheri with ample opportunity to sing her song. I was engulfed in a cloud of pear at the top, pear fizz, maybe a sloe pear fizz and not a very good one at that. Disappointed I waited, still undressed, providing for the very best of circumstances for dry down. I was smelling something very akin to the fruit scents so in evidence in Bath and Body shoppes and hoping that the middle would hold something special. After 15 minutes I got musty rose first, pear, peach and grass. On me it was not wonderful and I was underwhelmed. Nonetheless I wore Petite Cherie to work and received Many compliments on it causing me to conclude that it is not Petite Cheri that I dislike so much as it's fruity style. Compare to Les Nuits d'Hadrien, another Annick Goutal perfume which is a polar opposite to PC which is my favorite scent ever and one I cannot get enough of. Happy sniffing! Wreni

This is a fragrance that I get complimented on all the time. it's light, fun, and surprising. Not over-worn by other women. Classy & Sexy! I carry a small bottle in my bag. It is an all natural French fragrance without a bunch of additives so reapplying throughout the day is recommended. NEVER smells over-powering. I LOVE IT!

I have been wearing Petite Cherie exclusively forever. Somehow, it is at once light & fresh for day or summer, but also substantial enough for winter--maybe the vanilla gives it this edge? I have been called "the best smelling girl in NYC" (by my friend's husband....awkward!) and people ALWAYS ask me what I'm wearing. Luckily, the name is a little too long (or a little too French) for people to remember, so I can keep this perfect little scent all for myself! Oh, ok.....and you. But only you!

I also have the body cream so with the spray - it smells so fresh and clean, only problem it doesn't seem to stay with me all day
