I have used this for a least 35 years and use it almost daily, starting in the morning except when I plan to be outside gardening or hiking, in order not to attract insects. I do use some other fragrances from time to time (mostly Jil Sander, but can't find my favorite scent anymore).

To paraphrase Tanya Sanchez in her book "Perfumes" with Luca Turin, this is a cold angular type of fragrance. "It keeps you in the boardroom, in three in stilletos and a pencil skirt suit. Haughty and immune to sweetness..." Released in 1971 and composed by Henri Robert for Gabrielle Chanel when she was in her 80's.

I only have the only Chanel N19 dusting powder left from a gift set , a Christmas gift from several years ago. I dust myself around the neck daily for a clean fresh smell. [...]  I was so excited to find the body lotion and I use it daily with my dusting powder after my shower.

This is my favorite fragrance. Unlike other Chanel products, though, it is difficult to find (seems easiest only around the Christmas holiday season), and is pretty expensive

It's fine for everyday, has a "green" and natural scent, not too sweet or flowery. My favorite of all the Chanel fragrances. Body Lotion has a nice sparkle to it for evening.
