An intoxicating and rich scent, Rouge by Hermès. First you are summoned by the smell of huge exotic notes of Amber and Cedar, then you experience the wartmth of deep shades of Red Valentine Velvety Roses and mystifying aroma of Ylang-Ylang. Then you taste the sweetness of Iris, Vanilla and Sandalwood. The perfume smells like a deep shade of Red and reminds me of the movie Moulin Rouge [Notice the word "Rouge"]. However, it does have a Powdery smell to it probably due to Myrrh [my husband keeps saying that] and to some it may even smell like an insect repellent [like "OFF" deep woods which I actually like]. It is an intense scent. Very Passionate, Mysterious, Powerful, Prestegious and Defiant. Not recommended for the Shy.

I have used this product since its inception in 2000 on a daily basis. My friends comment that they know I am present because they have smelled my scent when they entered the room/auditorium. I am getting constantly compliments and requests for the name of the scent. I absolutely adore ROUGE.

I have used this fragrance for several years now. I love it because it is subtle and not flowery - which I find is too sweet for me. The value at Scentiments is wonderful - far cheaper even than at the duty free shop at the airport!

Sadly this fragrance didn't do anything for me. Just gave off a powdery, soft smell. I thought with all the strong notes i.e. vanilla, myrhh, etc. it would come off as a very spicy, rich Oriental perfume but it wasn't like that at all. Very disappointing.

Rouge is a rich smelling fragrance that I wear whenever I feel like it, which is all the time. Men and women alike give me compliments on this fragrance whenever I wear it. Because of the mixture of vanilla and cedar wood it is definitely a good choice for the winter months.
