I received Bal a Versailles as a gift years (!) ago and now I can't live without it. It is quite unique and I know that everyone around me recognizes it as my signature scent. Not too sweet, not at all cloying, but overall soft and warm and comforting and interesting. I notice that when I wear it I get way more hugs. Men seem to appreciate it especially because it doesn't smell "perfumy".

I love this fragrance and use it almost all the time!! When I want to feel good, or think Spring during the Winter I will use it. In the summer I use it since it is a light fragrance. My father bought this for my mother many years ago, long before the internet. Back then, we could only find it at a very high end store and a now defunct catalog store! It was VERY expensive and hard to find. I have bottles of it that are over 15 years old now, and they still smell wonderful. Be careful with this because a little squirt goes a long way. It's powerful stuff and it's sheer bliss!

I found this on trip to France in 1974, and I've loved it ever since. I've tested so many other scents, but none has ever come close to smelling as good. The cream is really fantastic as is the bath oil; bath oil is especially difficult to find though.
