This is not my first purchase of Jessica McClintock.. However, it is my first purchase in quite a long time.. Just a fragrance I haven't thought about with so many to choose from nowadays and so many scents that I like. It is a classic fragrance, however, and can be worn for just about ANY occasion. It has a freshness to it but, it also has strong hints of floral but warm. It can be very strong so no need to spray but a little- a little goes a long way. It is refreshing after some of the complicated fragrances that are available now. It takes you back to some of the "original" and "simple" aromas of perfume from years gone by. Recently, I smelled it on someone and I knew right away what it was, even after not smelling/buying it for years. It is a good value here on Scentiments; therefore couldn't pass up the opportunity to restore it in my fragrance collection when I want to revisit a classic fragrance. It can hold its own against a lot of the more expensive fragrances out there; and some of those don't even have its staying power but, cost much more. Now, the true test will be if it gets noticed by my husband. Haven't worn it for him just yet, though. Fragrance is an individualized thing, however if you are a woman who enjoys classic floral, you would probably like and appreciate this fragrance.

You can't beat the price of the product I ordered. However, it wasn't exactly like the previous bottle I had gotten in the dept store. The bottle itself was stamped "sample" and it didn't come with the original top but I still had mine from the almost empty bottle and just put it on the new one. Considering the economy, I love that we can purchase thgs in unconventional ways and still be able to pamper ourselves somewhat with a luxury I would be cutting out if if wasn't for this website. I got this scent because a friend of mine wears it in the spring, and it smells like Hyacins. I liked the scent. Not for everyone, my 17 yr. old thinks it is nice but for the old ladies. I am retired and have worn Jessica MacClintock since I first smelled it at a mall store many, many years ago. It is and has been my "signature scent" since I first smelled it. In fact, when out with friends for dinner just last week, someone commented on how they loved the smell of my perfume and asked its name. I used to wear a lilly of the valley scent when I was in my teens and early twenties. And now I realize why I love this scent so much! If you already use Jessica McClintock, you know how lovey it is and how many compliments you get. I hesitatingly ordered the tester, wondering what the difference was, since it was considerably cheaper. The only difference is that it doesn't have the pretty cap. So, keep your old cap and order the tester. It's the same as the more expensive bottle.

Strangers have stopped me in stores, parking lots, hallways, elevators, etc and asked me what I'm wearing. Some recognize the smell immediately and say, "Jessica McClintock! - You're wearing Jessica McClintock!" My ex-mother-in-law has a very persnickity sense of smell and does not like most colognes. However, she loved JM. She lived a couple hundred miles away so when we visited, or they came to us, it was a 2-3 nighter thing. She used to tell me that my scent would linger in the bedroom, on the sheets, or in the bathroom, even on the towels that went into the dirty laundry. She'd say I made all the dirty clothes smell good!

During the holiday season in the 1990s, while Christmas shopping, I noticed I was being followed by an attractive middle aged man that stopped at every window or storefront that I stopped at and walked behind me slowly when I walked. I almost began to feel frightened when he stopped me and said, "I don't mean to be forward, but may I ask what is the name of the cologne you're wearing - I'd like to buy some for my wife for Christmas"...a real ego buster!!!

In 1987 it became my signature fragrance and still is. I have never found anything that works as well with my chemistry and lasts as long as JM. We are a perfect match!

I have been wearing Jessica McClintock for the past five years plus. Intermittently I have tried other perfumes, only to return to my favorite. I have received many a compliment on this perfume, and the reason I like it is it makes me feel "fresh and clean". It is a light scent, that although you may not be able to smell, others can throughout the day. I would recommend this to anyone who does not want to be overpowered with perfume. This was the first time that I ordered a "TESTER" and I was quite pleased. There was no difference in the amount of product received or anything for that matter. I certainly didn't care about the cap - I had one from my previous bottle. Also I received my order promptly from Scentiments. It was great doing business with you.

For me, my Perfume is very personal. It reflects how I'm feeling that morning and the rest of the day. Jessica is the one I reach for most every time. For a change of pace I've used another, only to wash it off and spray some JM. When asked what fragrance I have on, I'm reluctant to say. Even gone so far as to fib, rather than share my signature scent. Issues? Maybe. It's Ok to be selfish sometimes :-)
