This is my SIGNATURE fragrance. I have been using it since the early 70's. When it was sold in all the department stores, I loved it!

I always receive compliments whenever I where this. This one was great when it was "Eau de Calandre" and they've never changed the formula. It wears well whether you are at work or out for the evening. Not too heavy either, which is something I look for especially living in Hawaii where the humidity is high and it's hot all year round.

Calandre for Women has been my signature scent for years. It is nice without being overwhelming and easily goes from the office to evening (may be light for evening if you like strong evening perfumes). Calandre is an elegant and classic cologne/perfume. It was matched to me in Paris in the early 70's. Because of it's powerful scent, I try to wear it only for special occasions. I feel it is a "power" fragrance and not for the faint of heart. If you want to make a statement, this may be the one for you. You will certainly turn heads.

Calandre is difficult to find in stores and when I can it's expensive to buy. Being able to buy the tester for about 1/2 the usual retail price allows me to use my favorite scent every day. I first fell in love with this perfume when I was a student in Spain in the 70s. I thought it was complex, sophisticated, and quite unique. Very slightly green but not in any way acidic or after-shavey like some "greener" perfumes. This one has a full but light blossomy bergamot undertone. It's not too overpowering for daytime but I love it at night too. Have tried to find something I like as much ever since, but I keep coming back to this one.

I have used Calandre for 36 years and still receive many compliments and "ooo-la-la" comments on its fragrance from both men and women. Oh my God! will be the first words you will say after smelling this perfume. It's so wonderful!

Calandre is suppose to be a masterpiece among fragrances.

It's "ethereal", it's delightful. I prefer to wear it during day time.

It doesn't hold very well, but what I do, is spray it on my hair, and my scull, just above the ears, where is naturally oily, and that will keep the scent from evaporating too rapidly.

Doing that I can smell myself after a few hours.

I worked the Fragrance counter at Hechts while in college and could not find a scent I liked. I opened a magazine in 1987 and smelled the Calandre scent tab and have been wearing it exclusively everyday ever since - that's 30 years. I could not do the TV commercial without it - I made sure I had an extra bottle in my purse just in case my luggage got lost flying out to the production studio - it was the only thing I truly needed since they provided the clothes. The only problem I have ever had with Calandre is it is too hard to find. And often times too many people stop me to ask what it is and where to buy it. I’ve also had house guest use the last of my bottle – lucky for me I always have a spare bottle (or 2) hidden. LOVE IT!!!!!
