This is a wonderful scent, you would think the straight up top note of rose scent would be too old-fashioned or overpowering, but the richness of the middle notes (amber, vanilla) and the end result of the drydown are refreshing and not too floral. It is really actually herbaceous and fresh-smelling on me, but is not super long lasting. But I personally think it's divine and great modern take on ancient fragrance notes. Enjoy!

I really wanted to love this fragrance. Unfortunately, it was a little too strong for me. Floral overload! I am sensitive to smells and could feel a headache coming on. However, I can also see why so many people love this fragrance. Floral people. I am a foody, oriental, spicy perfume kind of person. I wanted to try something different. It just didn't work for me. If you like these kind of fragrances...go for it...smell it first...wear it for awhile.

This is my "grown & sexy" perfume. It has wonderful rose notes that aren't the least bit overpowering, generic, or have that awful alcohol-y drydown. It can be a little strong if you overdo it. One little misting is all it takes and the staying power is great. I love that it dies down to this soft mix of amber, rose and something somewhat citrusy that a person would have to get fairly close to smell. I wear this mostly for special occasions and evenings.

It's not your grandmother's rose scented perfume. They found a way to put all the good rose smells in the bottle and leave all the musty earth smells out. It's what hotness smells like. It doesn't enter the room before you do but stays on until you tell it not to.

I just turned 19 and I have been wearing this fragrance for a little over 2 years. I am very picky when it comes to how I smell, and get migranes very easily from too strong perfumes. Stella is relatively linear in composition: the rose and amber don't change much over the course of the day. But that doesn't keep the scent from being boring. The rose here is a dark, velvety one, but the overall feel doesn't strike me as old-fashioned. The rose at first is brighter (perhaps the peony at work?) and then fades down to reveal the rose-and-amber blend. After hours of wear, the scent is ambery, with the rose still making itself known. Overall, I find this a very comforting winter scent with good longevity.

I think this was the smallest one ounce bottle of perfume I've ever seen. I think the price is a little steep for such a small size. Stella needs to make a 1.7 oz. bottle for the price I paid. I only listed it as a special occassion perfume because the size is so small. However, it can be worn every day even though you'll run out of it quickly. Stella's redemptive value is that the smell is great.

I have asthma and chemical allergies so therefore many perfumes make me sick. This fragrance is not overpowering. Stella is considered more of an organic perfume line. I have received many compliments which is always followed by "What are you wearing? It is so unusual." I layer my scent by using the body cream, deodorant, and then perfume. The fragrance when first applied is more of a bright, fresh rosey scent but as it begins to die down the amber is also apparent and gives it the final powdery soft floral scent that reminds me of bubble baths and baby powder. A very clean scent that in my opinion can be worn any time.

I like Stella because it's a subtle, light, rich floral, but my husband doesn't find it alluring. He calls it "old ladyish" and asked me not to wear it. Oh well.

It is the perfect floral scent for winter at a great price. I will be wearing this all winter-long and have already gotten compliments. The only con is that it is pretty strong when you first spritz it on, then diffuses throughout the day.

I am very allergic to many perfumes which has caused many returns to dept. stores. When I tried Stella I was amazed that I had no negative responses. It is subtle which means the fragrance only lasts about 4-6 hrs on but I don't mind. I layer with the body cream and also use the deodorant. Many compliments. A very romantic fragrance.
