It is likely there were 3.3 oz in the bottle but it seemed much lighter than usuala nd since it was a "tester" I was left with the impression that I wasn't suplied with the whole amount...

In the early 70's I was given this perfume as a gift for Christmas. I was young and had not tried many perfumes. As soon as I started wearing it, people would say "hmmm, what kind of perfume is that? It smells great!" My husband would say that he could still smell the perfume on my clothes at night. To me, the true test of a great perfume is when other people comment on how good it smells. I've been using this perfume for many years and I still get compliments on it! I will wear nothing else.

This perfume is wonderful. Every time I wear it I get compliments, so I wear it every day.
Its perfectly Feminine, Classy and Sexy,(extremely sexy in a tasteful way) its timeless and ever appropriate - like a string of pearls. Rive Gauche is layered beautifully with a Mysterious Spicy Floral and a Slightly Powdery element to it. Its got a fresh, adventurous yet pampered attitude. Plus, its subtle- not over powering, so when people are close enough to get a hint of it most cant resist asking the name. I am also happy to add that it smells slightly different on every person, always beautiful but still you.
When I got my first bottle of Rive Gauche people (women and MEN!) commented so often that at first my reply was "why am I wearing too much?" But no, every answer was pretty much "No, I could barely smell it but it smelled so good I had to ask".
No one can believe it's good old Rive Gauche, by YSL; our GRANDMAS perfume. Makes me wonder what old grandma was really up to...

This perfume has been around for many years. It is a rich fragrance, yet inexpensive. I always keep a bottle of this in my collection. Rive Gauche is definately for the grown and sexy. Young girls just would not understand.

Many years ago my hubbie bought this for me in france, since then I have tried to continue to wear it..but it became really expensive, here with scentiments I can buy 2 for the price it cost me in a high end retail store. LOVE IT
